DYN0174 Top Level

The DYN0174 from the DYNAMAX® family of sensors is a high performance CMOS image sensor designed for ultra high definition video and machine vision applications. It achieves high sensitivity, high speed and low noise with Dynamax® Imaging’s proprietary Active Column Sensor (ACS) technology. A Distributed Analog to Digital converter (D/AD) eliminates gain variations between rows. Correlated Multi-Sampling (CMS) can be used to further reduce noise or add gain.

In 3-port Single Row Readout, the DYN0174 achieves 45 frames per second at 4800 × 3600 (10-bit) and 60 frames per second at 4800 × 2700 (10-bit). 6-port Dual Row Readout doubles the speed to 90 frames per second at 4800 × 3600 (10-bit) and 120 frames per second at 4800 × 2700 (10-bit).

The DYN0174 uses Global Shutter pixels to eliminate motion blur of traditional Rolling Shutter pixels. All pixels are allowed to integrate at the same time and then read out in the desired sequence and resolution. Optionally, the imager can be read out in Rolling Shutter mode for >3 dB higher dynamic range.

Four Row readout allows up to 120 frame per second operation with 10 bit pixels. All read out modes use a single tap per row for a simple sensor interface regardless of ROI size and offset.

DYN0032 contains a programmable timing engine for maximum flexibility with minimal external components. All of the sensor timing is programmable to cover a wide range of applications. Sensor timing can be changed on the fly using a simple 3 wire serial interface. Simple adjustments to gain, integration or frame rate can be done with short command scripts.
